Lynette Tanner-Busby Executive Director Contra Costa Centre Association Jim Kennedy Redevelopment Director Contra Costa County Contra Costa Centre – East Bay’s First BART Transit Village ULI East Bay’s Breakfast Tour explores a TOD-ready for grand opening after more than twenty years of planning and entitlement. The story of Contra Costa Centre is an epic of public/private effort to do the right thing. The Contra Costa Centre area surrounds and encompasses the Pleasant Hill BART station platform. It is a 125-acre master-planned transit community featuring approximately 1.75 million square feet of existing Class A office and commercial space, two full-service hotels and nearly 2,300 multi-family residential units. At completion, Contra Costa Centre Transit Village will consist of more than two million square feet of office/commercial development, 3,000 residential units, 50,000 square feet of retail, 3,500 square feet of civic use and over eight acres of green space. Learn more about the collaboration between the Contra Costa Centre Association, a group of 14 individual developers and businesses, and the Contra Costa County, a partnership cited as an outstanding example of public/private financing of infrastructure improvements.
