The ULI San Francisco Bay Area’s South Bay Committee Presents…

Santana Row Before & After: A Mixed Use Makeover through Design, Development & Infrastructure

This ULI South Bay event will feature a panel discussion from both public and private sector leaders on the mixed use makeover that has occurred over the last few decades at what is now the vibrant Santana Row shopping area of San Jose, CA. The panel will discuss topics such as: What factors have contributed to success? Can success be sustained following this economic downturn? How does infrastructure play a role in successful mixed use? How important is design?

The panel discussion will focus on the vision for the future design, development, and infrastructure for the energetic Winchester Boulevard & Stevens Creek Boulevard crossings including a rapid transit bus line, key interchange expansions, the latest Class A office building nearing completion and future housing, commercial and retail development.

The esteemed group of panelists includes:

Moderator: Paula Krugmeier, Principal, BAR Architects

Randy Paul, Vice President Development, Western Region, Federal Realty
Kevin Connolly, Transportation Planning Manager, VTA
Casey Emoto, Deputy Director, VTA
Charles Dilworth, Principal, STUDIOS Architecture

The panel discussion will be followed with a networking social at Rosie McCann’s Irish Pub & Restaurant from 6:30pm – 8:00pm @ 355 Santana Row.
