Mission Bay, San Francisco --
Mission Bay is a economically-diverse redevelopment project covering 303 acres just south of downtown San Francisco. The maximum development plan, approved by the Board of Supervisors in 1998, includes 6,000 residential units (28% affordable), UCSF's 43 acre campus, 5 million square feet of biotech and life sciences buildings, 500,000 square feet of retail, and $400 million in infrastructure, transit, and open space amenities.
