ULI FALL MEETING 2009: YOUNG LEADERS GROUP

As the proud host of the 2009 ULI Fall Meeting, the San Francisco Young Leaders Group (YLG) was afforded the opportunity to organize the first ever YLG Leadership Summit for YLG Co-Chairs and leadership committee members from across the country and abroad.

The event was attended by 60 YLG leaders, representing 19 District Councils. The purpose of the summit was to showcase and celebrate outstanding YLG programs, including New York’s Mentorship and Protégé Program, Seattle’s Regional Conference on Sustainability, Los Angeles’ TOD Crawl, and San Francisco’s Peer to Peer Educational Workshops.

The gathering commenced with an overview of the YLG and its accomplishments since its formal inception in 2003. The summit then showcased four best-of-class programs followed by six interactive roundtable breakouts with topics that included existing programs, YLG leadership structure, future programs and idea generation, philanthropy, membership, and communications moderated by a San Francisco YLG member.
